A special thanks to all my wonderful fans who attended the Never Ever Give Up Video/Single Release party at the Double Wide Bar & Southern Kitchen in NYC on Feb 28!
It was such a magical evening and so wonderful to share the milestone of the release of my first music video in a room full of my fans, friends and family! I'm so honored and blessed to have that much love in the room!!
Another milestone I was celebrating was the release of my first book! I have a workbook that compliments the single, Never Ever Give Up. In the workbook, I tell my story and help the reader to discover their talent, give them a blue print to pursue their dreams. It such a great feeling of accomplishment!

Thank you to all my fans for your continued support of my music and creative endeavors!
The Gift of Music: I'm so blessed to have recently worked with and recorded the beautiful music of musician, singer-songwriter, Suki Rae of New York City. Her music is inspirational, thought provoking and musically interesting. I was the lead vocalist on her song, "Waiting for the Light!" It's such a beautiful ballad. I can't wait for the release!!
We were in the studio with the talented producer, Kennan Keating of the Hit Farm NYC Studio. We had a great time in the studio!!

"Spreading love through music for your inspiration and entertainment!
I recently had a great recording session this past weekend. The song was great, the producer was engaging and had great ideas and my vocals were on. It was truly amazing.
That hasn't always been the case. When I first started recording, I had a difficult time in the studio.
Because I started as a live performer, I was use to singing in front of an audience. In the studio, it was just me and a mic. I was out of my element and it was difficult at first.
I tried so hard and I over thought everything. In turn, my recordings would turn out horrible. Not to mention, some of the producers I was working with didn't know how to bring things out of me. It was not a good situation. My confidence and self esteem were wrecked.
One of the things that helped me was when I performed the song live first before I recorded it. It made all the difference in the world. In this case, I was able to experiment with the song first before I went to the studio. When I returned to the studio, recording was a breeze. This boosted my self confidence and raised my self esteem tremendously.

Here are 3 top lessons I learned from recording:
1) Always be prepared
-- Know the song and make sure you are performance ready
2) Get out of your own head
-- Relax and take your time
-- Usually, the first few takes are the best
3) Never, ever give up -- Keep up working at it, eventually you will get better
-- This will definitely improve your confidence in the matter
Best wishes as you take your music to the next level!
Much love,

A beautiful evening: There was an awesome tribute to Prince at The Apollo night! I met so many great people. The energy and love was incredible. I really needed this tonight. I haven't been great since I heard the news of Prince's death. His music just washed the pain away. That was the power of his music!! It was so much great music. The announced on the news today that he has a vault of unreleased music. I hope we're able to hear it. He has so much great music available to us. It's so incredible! His music truly gave me comfort tonight. He will truly be missed! WE LOVE YOU, PRINCE!!
Rest in Peace: It is with a heavy heart that I write this. Today, I
learned that one of my all-time favorite artists, Prince (Prince Rogers
Nelson) has died. He was more than a musical genius: He was a shrewd
business man, a musical legend, a dynamic live act, a producer, an
innovator, a pioneer, a visionary, an icon, and ahead of his time. I am
so grateful for the wealth of music he left us. There will never be
another like Prince. We lost a great one. This one hit me exceptionally
hard. I'm still processing it. One person can change the world.
I
pray for his family, dear friends and all his fans, like me, who love
him. May he rest in peace always. Goodnight, dear Prince.
