Come witness the rebirth of Preachermann at the Williamsburg Music Center on Saturday, March 24th in Brooklyn, NY. You won't want to miss the hottest show in NY. Tickets $10 in advance/$15 @ the door. For advance tickets, visit: http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/217661.
In other news, I won the Moody's Toastmasters International Speech Contest on March 7th and I will be competing in the area contest (representing Moody's) on March 28th. If you're in the midtown area on that day, I hope you can come by and watch me compete. The title of my speech is "A Little Courtesy Goes A Long Way." I'm very excited! As soon as I get a copy of the speech, I'll share it with you.
Take care and I hope to see you at the shows!
Much Love,

Happy Valentine's Day!
Benita's Lesson of the Day:
Lessons of Love on Valentine’s Day. At my "Moments In Love" show, I asked long-term couples to give us their advice on longevity. Here's their answers that I thought we could all learn from: trust, forgiveness, sense of humor, gratitude, you and me against the world mentality, and music (a favorite song you share together).
I wish you & yours a very Happy Valentine’s Day and much love!

Remembering Whitney Houston
I am so shocked and saddened to hear of the sudden death of Whitney Houston. She is definitely one of my all time favorite singers and had one of the greatest voices of all time. She inspired me to be a singer. Her voice will go down in history as one of the greatest.
I send my heartfelt prayers to her family.
It's such a tragic loss that words can't express how I feel. I really thought she would pull through. I really didn't think her life would end this way.
We have so many beautiful memories to remember her by. I will focus on those memories and recordings of her gift.
No more suffering, Whitney. You can rest in peace now.

A very special thank you to all who attended "Moments In Love" on Saturday, February 11th at Bar Thalia - Symphony Space. It was a beautiful night of love & music!!
It was also bittersweet in learning of the death of Whitney Houston before the show. I dedicated "The Greatest Love of All" in her honor. I really felt her spirit in the room. I'm still in shock that she's no longer with us. She has been such an inspiration to me and so many other singers in the world. I'm very sad right now. I send my heartfelt prayers to her family. I will always love you, Whitney. You can now rest in peace.
