Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! I hope you and your family the many blessings of the Easter holiday!

With Easter, the spring season is here. Spring is one of my favorite times of the year. Spring is a wonderful time for new beginnings and a fresh start.  I'm looking forward to warmer days, longer nights and fresh flowers.

This year, I've decided to forgo my normal spring concert. Many of you have been asking me periodically for new music and I appreciate your interest. Presently, I'm working on new original music and revamping my live shows that warrant my full attention. I will keep you posted. :)

Next month (April 16th), I have a performance coming up with Preachermann and the Revival at The Shrine. I hope to see you at the show for a soulful experience of atomic soul! You have to see it believe it.

For those of you who are new to my mailing list: welcome and thank you for your support! I have performances with my own projects, The Benita Charles Trio and The Benita Charles and Friends Band. Also, I perform with the atomic band, Preachermann and The Revival. This is not a gospel show but it is heartfelt, soulful music that touches the heart. I hope you will have an opportunity to see one of my shows. Thanks for signing my mailing list.

The power of music!

The power of music: Last night I was at a private gig with the Colbri Band that really let me see first hand the power of music and how it changes lives.  I'm so grateful and humbled to be a part of that! Of course we rocked it!

June 30th: It's my Birthday!!

On this day, Tuesday, June 30th, I woke up especially grateful.  Grateful that God has allowed me to see another birthday.  I woke up to love.  The love of a great man who showered me with his love and gifts and all the support he's shown me all year!

I woke up to knowing I have the love of my family, friends and fans and all who my supports my music.  If you have love in your life, that's all you need.

I thank God for giving me the strength, focus and wherewithall to continue my music even after all these years.  That love and desire for it is still there and getting stronger.

I thank God that I have a job with wonderful co-workers and experiences that had helped me grow as a person profesionally and personally.

Finally, I thank God for my health because without that, I wouldn't be able to do anything. He revealed to me some changes I needed to make last year and I've been able to keep my weight down, have more energy and greater overall health.

Yes, God is good and life is good.  I love you all of my fans of my music for your continuous support.

Keep striving and reaching for your dreams and the life you want.  I'm living proof that if you never, ever give up you'll get there! Don't give up on life and on yourself. This is going to be my breakout year. I feel it!!

Today, I'm celebrating life and all the good things it has to offer!! Not to mention, I woke up to a birthday message from Google!  How awesome is that!! :)
