A Special Birthday - June 30th!

Today is a good day. It's my official birthday! It's been a really special birthday because I've been celebrating since my birthday concert on June 25th. I am so grateful that God has allowed me to see another year. I am also grateful of the amazing people in my life (my family and friends) and all the new friends that I've met and worked with along the way. Thanks to all my special friends for the birthday wishes you've sent me over the past few days. I really appreciate your kind words. I feel so special!

The Soul of the Artist Showcase at the Sugar Bar was phenomenal last night. There were so many great artists (singers, poets, rappers) and they all brought their own unique flavor to their performances. It was wonderful to see. I was definitely proud to be a performer at the show. Thanks to everyone who came out to support the artists. It was an awesome experience! A special thanks to the ladies of DeJaVoux Crystal Alford, Cheryl Alford) for inviting me to be a part of the show. It was definitely a night to remember.

Remembering Bobby Womack

Rest in Peace: Today we lost one of the greatest soul singers of our time, Mr. Bobby Womack.

What he brought to his music is nothing short of brilliance. He was an incredible talent and this is a huge loss to the music community. He inspired and influenced so many singers. I'm so happy we have his music so that we can always experience his genius..

A special thanks to all my friends who came to my birthday concert at Silvana in Harlem last night. It was so awesome to play to a packed house. 

 I was so happy to see Bon Homme and Russia Montanez. Thank you for your support. To my love, Ed Holley thank you for your love and support and for always being there for me! 

A special thanks to my band who did an incredible job on the music: Ari Kessler, Peter Archer, Eusebio Manuel Montanez and Calvin Porcha. You gentlemen were a pleasure to work with. Thank you for bringing it with the music!!

This is a high traffic area and I'm very excited to perform for a new audience. This is a free outdoor concert!

Remembering the legendary Ruby Dee

Rest In Peace: I am sorry to hear of the death of the legendary actress Ruby Dee. She was an incredible actress and person. She lived her purpose and lived by example.
