Words by Oprah Winfrey:
"I've been blessed to have Maya Angelou as my mentor, mother/sister, and friend since my 20’s. She was there for me always, guiding me through some of the most important years of my life. The world knows her as a poet but at the heart of her, she was a teacher. ‘When you learn, teach. When you get, give’ is one of my best lessons from her.
She won three Grammys, spoke six languages and was the second poet in history to recite a poem at a presidential inauguration. But what stands out to me most about Maya Angelou is not what she has done or written or spoken, it’s how she lived her life. She moved through the world with unshakeable calm, confidence and a fierce grace. I loved her and I know she loved me. I will profoundly miss her. She will always be the rainbow in my clouds." -- Oprah Winfrey

Remembering Dr. Maya Angelou
I'm so sorry to hear of the recent passing of Dr. Maya Angelou.
We are so blessed to have witnessed her share her gift of words to the world. She was truly an example of what we are all striving for: to use your gifts to heal the world. She was a beautiful wordsmith and a phenomenal woman. She lived her purpose.
Her words have touched and inspired millions through the years. Her pen is now silenced and still but her words will live on for eternity and will reach future generations. Her life is a testament of how one person can truly change the world.

"Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off bow lines. Sail away from the safe habor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore, dream, discover!" -- Mark Twain
